Winner of Primaduta Award Affirmed its Commitment to Increase Import from Indonesia
We are honored by the award presented by the Indonesian Government and will increase our effort to improve the trade relation with Indonesia. Those were some of the highlights delivered by Jose Pesquera, CEO of Elite Home Furnishing, whose company had been declared to receive the 2016 Primaduta Awards for category of Small and Medium Enterprise in Potential Market.
The presentation of Primaduta Award was held at the sidelines of business people meeting organized by Indonesian Consulate in Vancouver and ITPC Vancouver on October 27th, 2016. The event was attended by around 40 local business people, Indonesian diaspora, the representatives of BC’s Ministry of International Trade and South East Asia Canada Business Council dan Surrey Board of Trade.
On behalf of BC Government, Executive Director Natural Resources and Agrifoods, Ministry of International Trade, John Mc.Donald, on his remarks, underlined the commitment of BC Government to improve the trade relation with Indonesia, taking into account the Indonesian potential as the largest market in ASEAN. To implement this commitment, BC Government had just officially opened the Representative Office for Trade and Investment in Jakarta.
Elite Home Furnishing is a furniture company based in Surrey, and during its line of business, has been importing furniture products from Indonesia, in particular from Yogyakarta, Solo and Semarang. The product is made of teak wood and roots, built in specific natural designed and bound to West Canada and United States’ markets.
